Easy Elegance: Episode 1 - "Fond Fig Pizza"
Fig Pizzas were one of the first dishes I ever came up with when I worked as a personal chef. Beginning as a fun finger food I served at parties, they are now the cornerstone of my product line, Fond Originals. In fact, they are so connected with my career that I serve them before every dinner at my restaurant, Fond, as the amuse bouche, or the bite that gets your taste buds ready for a great meal!
Even though I’ve probably devoured thousands of them in the past few years, I still prepare and eat Fig Pizzas almost every day of my life. I hope you’ll love them just as much as I do! Feel free to experiment with the size of yours - they can be large or you can use cookie cutters to punch out small shapes for optimal cuteness and crunch! The best part is that everyone loves them - even kids.

Fond Fig Pizzas
Ingredients:
Garlic Naan
Basil Pesto
Salt
Blue Cheese
Fresh Mozzarella
Dried Spanish Figs
Shaved Parmesan Cheese
Prosciutto
Directions:
Spread pesto thickly on naan, leaving a crust.
Sprinkle lightly with salt, then a light sprinkle of blue cheese.
Add about 15 small pieces of mozzarella (the fresher, the better).
Slice figs thinly and add at least one small sliver per piece of mozzarella.
Top with a small handful of shaved Parmesan.
Tear the slice of prosciutto into pieces and decorate your pizza.
Bake on a parchment paper-lined cookie sheet at 400*F or 425*F until cheese is melty and crust is golden brown! Allow pizza to rest for a few minutes before enjoying. Great as a main course with a leafy salad on the side.
